HU | A legenda szerint a világosi fegyverletétel után Orsovából menekült Kossuth Lajos Ada-Kaleh szigetén át az éj leple alatt teljes titokban, mely átkelésben a Dunán Bégo Mustafa segédkezett. Kossuth ládájában lapult a szent korona, melyet sebtében a parton el is ástak. Bégó Mustafa volt Ada Kaleh utolsó török hűbérura. 1972-ben Ada-Kaleh szigete és Orsova a Vaskapu I. vízerőmű felépítésekor örökre hullámsírba merült.

EN | Legend has it that after the capitulation at Világos, Lajos Kossuth escaped from Orsova through the island of Ada-Kaleh in complete secrecy, Bego Mustafa assisting him in crossing the Danube. Kossuth’s chest contained the sacred crown, which they hurriedly buried on the shore. Mustafa Bégó was the last Turkish vassal of Ada Kaleh. In 1972, the island of Ada-Kaleh and Orsova were buried forever under the waves during the construction of the Iron Gate I hydroelectric power station.
